Accessibility
The measures taken so that everyone can read and use this website.
Our approach
The I-4S website is designed to be usable by as many people as possible, whatever device, browser or assistive technology they use. It follows the criteria of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1, levels A and AA).
No conformity audit has been carried out yet: this page describes the measures taken; it is not a statement of conformity.
What is in place
- Contrast: text and control colours meet the recommended contrast ratios.
- Keyboard navigation: menus, forms, search and galleries can be operated with the keyboard, with a visible focus indicator; Escape closes menus and panels.
- Text alternatives: images that carry information have a text alternative, in French and in English.
- Screen readers: structured headings, navigation landmarks, a skip link to the main content, labelled form fields, and errors announced and linked to their field.
- Videos: they only start on request, never by themselves.
- Layout: the website adapts to small screens and to browser zoom, without horizontal scrolling down to 320 pixels wide.
Checks with every change
Every change to the website is checked automatically before it goes live, on the pages concerned and at several screen widths, with the axe-core tool and the WCAG 2.1 level A and AA criteria.
